ACE Massage Cupping™

ACE Massage Cupping™ bodywork is versatile and can easily be modified to accomplish a range of techniques, from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue and fascial release.
Deep Tissue Massage
In a deep tissue massage, the therapist penetrates into your muscle tissue, working in between your muscle tissue fibers - something that is impossible to accomplish with broad, gliding massage strokes over relaxed muscles. Deep tissue massage is typically not recommended for beginner massage recipients due to the large volume of toxins released during such a lengthy, aggressive process. The primary effect of deep tissue massage is to lengthen and elongate tissues on both a neurological and connective tissue level. This can reduce lack of blood flow, remodel scar tissue, free nerves trapped by muscles and address trigger point activity.
Relaxation massage focuses on giving the client time to recover from the stresses of daily life. When you experience relaxation massage, you can expect a treatment that involves long smooth gliding strokes that are rhythmic and flowing. Pressure will be deeply relaxing, but not painful. This is a treatment that is designed to soothe and relax you, not to relieve chronic pain or other underlying ailments. Relaxation massage can lower your blood pressure, improve circulation and skin appearance, regulate bowel movements, and reduce muscle tension as well as other symptoms related to stress.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage
What is known in the West as Thai massage is not "massage" at all, but rather an ancient energy-based healing system that combines acupressure, reflexology, and assisted yoga postures. Treatment effects are enhanced when the patient is fully relaxed and breathing deeply. Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions, and the recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the practitioner and client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on the body of the recipient. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being. Thai massage can decrease depression and anxiety, help with digestion, improve circulation, open joints, reduce stress and aid in pain management.
